    Namaste Swamiji,

Upon some reflection, I have a question. I thought of this question during the class but thought it might be better to engage on a discussion forum here. I have noticed that the mind needs variety and change, so when we build some discipline to stick to one place, one time, same mat or rosary, the mind wants to deviate a little to give some feel of change but the same mind but another part of it questions the very discipline saying I am breaking the ritual. How to keep ourselves in check? Because in sadhana the ultimate goal is what is central, not the mat or rosary nor that distraction of the mind. They (disciplined practices) are just a means to an end.

How not to get caught up in the vicious circle of the mind which plays dual games yet how not to get stuck to disciplined action and continue on the central objective?
