Service to mankind in the spirit of “worship of the Divine in human beings” is an integral spiritual discipline in the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda spiritual tradition. We identify a need in the society and respond to the same spiritually. For New Zealand, we have decided to focus our services in the area of mental wellbeing.
In response to the escalating mental wellbeing crisis in communities Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre has developed a plan to promote wellbeing through meditation. Our proactive and preventative approach will initially target the younger generation to empower them with skills and knowledge to better manage the challenges of life.
We are organising a public function at the Blockhouse Bay Community Centre from 6 pm on Saturday 25th November 2023 to share our vision and mission to serve the people of New Zealand in the area of mental and spiritual wellbeing.
We are happy to inform that Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, (Vice President of Ramakrishna Mission, India), accompanied by four other monks will visiting New Zealand from 23 November to 1st December 2023 and will be gracing the event.
We invite you to join us on this special occasion. Please register using the form below so that we may have the numbers for accommodation and dinner.
