Swami Tadananda
Swami Tadananda has been the Minister and spiritual leader of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre, Auckland since its official affiliation to the Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, India in 2021.
He joined the Ramakrishna Order in 1992. He received both his spiritual instruction (mantra-dīkṣā) and his monastic vows (sannyāsa) in 2001 from Swami Ranganathananda.
He served in various capacities in different educational institutes of the Ramakrishna Mission in India – Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. Subsequently he was posted at Vedanta Centre of Sydney (2006) and then at Ramakrishna Mission, Fiji (2008-2020).
Swami Tadananda is deeply concerned about the escalating mental wellbeing challenges in the society, especially among the children and youth. He is interested in developing wellbeing solutions based on the cultural and spiritual knowledge and practices in various traditions. The aim is to empower individuals to develop inner resilience and strength necessary to face the challenges and goals of life.
